Casa
EdiNah is located in the mountains of El Margen. An authentic Spanish
cave house with several apartments. El Margen is located in the Sierra
Nevada that belongs to Cullar in the Province of Granada, less than
2 hours drive to the cities and international airports of Granada,
Malaga, Almeria, Murcia and Alicante. The casa originated from the idea to provide both able-bodied and disabled people with an unforgettable holiday based on the personal experiences of Paulette and Nico in the past. Read more below the photo.  Three barrier-free apartments that have been furnished in a wheelchair-friendly way are ready to be 'occupied'. Each apartment has an electric box spring and an adapted bathroom with shower chair and raised toilet. From the terrace you can enjoy the view over the valley of El Margen, both in and out of the shade. We have a heated (salt water) indoor swimming pool including a lift for the disabled. Read more below the photo.  There are many picturesque villages nearby such as Cullar, Calera, Orce, Huescar and Benamaurel. The larger town of Baza is about 30 km. to drive. Granada is an hour's drive away. The city is home to one of Spain's most famous monuments, the Alhambra, a gigantic historic palace full of remnants of both Moorish and Catholic culture. The old town is one of the best preserved examples of Almohad town planning. Read more below the photo. 
Cortijo Buho in Benamaurel is a small-scale shelter
for owls. They also have other birds and small animals such as guinea
pigs, fredjes, stoats and ducks. You come there as a group alone,
there are no other guests and you can also touch the animals. If you
sit quietly, the animals will also come and sit with you. (English
speaking).The Mediterranean coast is an hour and 15 minutes drive. This coast belongs to the Alborán Sea and is the westernmost part of the Mediterranean Sea. And a half hour drive to the west is the reservoir Embalse de Negratin. You can swim, canoe, walk and / or cycle there. There are also several restaurants by the water. The supermarket and other shops are there in Cullar which is five minutes away by car. |

| Who
we are? |
We
are Paulette and Nico Meeuse van Tuijl. Yes, we have experience with
disabled people if that is an important question for you. Paulette
has worked in disabled care for many years and Nico has taken care
of his disabled daughter. After Ed, the brother of Paulette, passed away and Nico the grief of Nadieh, his daughter who died too early, they both made the plan to make a clean restart in Spain. Mix the name Ed & Nadieh together and you get EdiNah. The 3 apartments that we rent refer to Ed, Nadieh & Yara who we keep close to us in this way. Read more below the photo.
For years we wanted to do something abroad and that's how we started this adventure in 2019. This is because we know how difficult it is to find a good holiday address for disabled people without 'barriers'. If there are things that you encounter, we would like to hear from you. We can then see together whether there is a solution and whether it is an area for improvement for the future. No question is too much! |
